Why is the CGI in this movie so bad ?
Isn't the budget USD 100.000.000 ?

Their techniques are out-dated. They don't know how to combine practical effects with digital like WETA or other CGI studios used by Hollywood.

Frankly this is the most CGI ive seen in a Asian movie. Hell the only time you see Godzilla in CGI is when the Americans make it. It kinda feel like the last season of Hercules on Acid. I think the worst was the creature effects and digital body doubles.
P.S. I think the budget was 82 million.
The CGI is not bad at all, it's just not nearly on par with Hollywood.

The problem was clearly that they did not have time to finish cgi scenes to do it properly.. They had to rush the movie out in order to take advantage of the chinese new years release date.
