Cliff hanger!

I just finished the 3rd season finale, and just sat there wondering WTF??!! Martha across the street from Billy and Jake. Billy obviously having a heart attack or some serious health problem related to his cancer. One minute Martha is there and in the next scene, seconds later, she's disappeared! No explanation. End of episode!
