Gutted.

It did have some closure though. Clive becomes head honcho (and with his flawed background behavior, that cannot end well). Billy's expert old-school clerking is a thing of the past, as he is now. His collapse at the end could only end up in hospital or transferred to a hospice.

And Shoe Lane has lost its dedicate hallmark as a chambers that defends the downtrodden, by switching to prosecution.

So there is some closure.

But still! No more "Silk." Sigh. Say it ain't so.
