It was well worth the wait
Played from midnight to 4 am, went to bed, played from about 10 am to 9:45 pm. I am off work again so tomorrow will be rinse and repeat.
To say it was worth the wait is an understatement.

The level cap is 80 in GW2.
I have not played GW1 so I cannot compare the two games. There is a highly active forum where you could have a look around and looking up youtube vids about GW2 would give you an idea.
