I liked it

Saw it last night, was pleasantly surprised. Not the greatest movie in the world but it was a fun ride. Took awhile for the plot to come together but it was a decent story. Edge was good. I liked his character's style and LOL'd everytime his motif played. I hope I can find that music on youtube at some point.

One thing I noticed he dropped a lot of muscle in this film, good to see a wrestler come off the Anabolic Juice train that everyone else is on. I believe that the my previous statement combined with the way he dressed & the laid back personality gave this movie more than a hulk running around in a rage of this or that. I think this is why we were able to see him in a different light outside of all the wrestler crap, as an actual different character. In all their previous films no matter what the role I always saw them as a bulked out wrestler & not much more.

I don't think edge dropped any "muscle". He always has been thin.

reply

Yea but he looked like he totally quit hittin the weights, you are right though he was always pretty thin. I don't keep up with the WWE these days, does he still wrestle or did he retire? Everybody hates him from the start of the film just cause of his background, I think he delivered what he got very well he really became the character, I wouldn't mind seeing him in another movie with good writing.

He retired due to injury, from what I hear. My brother saw or read an interview with him, stating he would risk paralysis or even death if he took another serious bump; I think it's his neck that's the problem.

Wow, no sh!t, that had to be devastating for him & it being in the neck area that is rough going, well glad to see him branch out into film, he's not a bad actor, you get the lines and you're stuck with them, I think he did alright for a sloppy script

He did have a bad neck but it had to do with his spine. He has a condition called Spinal Stenosis. It is an abnormal narrowing of the spine. I did think he had it in his cervical region which is the worst place. One wrong fall or hit and he would be lucky if he lived thru it.

Funny thing (guess not funny) Doctors told him he wrestled in Wrestlemania with the problem. They told him with some of the bumps he took he was lucky he walked from the ring that night

Steve Austin being the worst.

It looks alright, I wouldn't mind watching it.

I'm with you MJ regarding this movie. My wife and I watched this again last night and we still laughed most of the way through it. Adam Copeland, Jamie Kennedy, Jennifer Esposito and all the others made this a very enjoyable comedy! Since I don't watch wrestling, I had not heard of Adam before this movie. I'm surprised we haven't seen more movies with Adam considering how well he played this role. Like another person said, he comes off a lot more believable than all the other wrestlers who try to make it in movies.

Like most everyone else, I know this movie won't go down as a classic, but it is a good clean comedy/action movie that all ages can enjoy. People should watch the movie for what it is instead of what they want it to be. If they did, they just might enjoy it as much as we did.

Every time I watch someone like Adam Copeland, I think how much I would like to see the Don Pendelton books, The Executioner, on the big screen. I think Adam Copeland just might make a good Mack Bolan.

I agree, it was better than I expected it to be. I will watch it again.

I like a movie rich in characters, even if they aren't directly related to the plot or story line, it's just good entertainment to me. This was such a movie.

I don't usually like these kind of movies, but this one has enough comedy, drama and action to keep me interested.
