Solo Iggy or Stooges?

I'd say The Idiot is better than any Stooges album even though I love there first one, but some of Iggys solo stuff, especially in the 80's, is awful.
% wise I'd say the stooges have a better ratio of good songs to bad but even though Iggy has made some shockers, the stuff with Bowie is awesome, it makes me wonder how much was Iggy and how much was Bowie.
Basically I haven't got an answer to my own question, I'll have to have a bit more of a think, when I started writing I was sure solo was better but on second thought I'm not so sure, both have pros and cons.
