I find it odd that Nosferatu actually wasn't on the list. He talks about it, but he never puts it on the list, which is weird considering its importance in the history of cinema (let alone vampire or horror movies) and due to its sterling quality.

Besides Nosferatu, I'm surprised Let the Right One In is missing.

As an aside I don't know why he's got a photo of the Chicago Theater at the top of his page when he's based in London.

Reaction time is a factor in this, so please pay attention.

The absence of Lugosi's Dracula feels weird, too. I haven't seen everything on the list, and so I can't speak to the overall quality, but a couple of major omissions like Nosferatu and Let the Right One In make me think it's a very flawed list.

Didn't notice the Chicago Theatre/ London discrepancy, but that is also odd.

You guys are right about Nosferatu and Let the Right One In.

At least the Twilight movies aren't on there, lol.

reply

Yes, thank GOD. NO Twilight movies. Those movies are just a pathetic joke. What's bad is that I actually like the first one okay---even with the "sparkle" nonsense. All the ones after the first are crap.

Love this from Lauren Bacall:

"Yes, I saw ‘Twilight’ – my granddaughter made me watch it, she said it was the greatest vampire film ever. After the ‘film’ was over I wanted to smack her across her head with my shoe...instead I gave her a DVD of Murnau’s 1922 masterpiece ‘Nosferatu’ and told her, ‘Now that’s a vampire film!’ And that goes for all of you! Watch ‘Nosferatu’ instead!"

The #1 vampire movie is After Dark. None other even comes close.
