Wow the mumbling was epic

I had such a hard time hearing what was being said I thought I was watching an ASMR video.

You are not alone here. The impossible mumbling detracted from otherwise stellar performances.

reply

That's why I used the subtitles.

The first time I turned on the subtitles it was almost like watching the movie for the first time. There is so much that is indecipherable otherwise.

I will have to get a copy of it with subtitles...the version I was watching was downloaded by my roommate.

I liked this film, but I saw it in a theater and the dialog was nearly incomprehensible....very frustrating. At least the DVD has subtitles.

That's really odd: I often think that I don't have very strong hearing, but I didn't notice a problem with this at all :/

Just watched on Netflix. Used the earplugs Netflix kindly includes, and didn't have trouble. Not much, anyway. I think it's less mumbling and more various, ordinary, Brit accents. I think we still have this idea that all British people speak in distinct upper-class tones, like the denizens of "Downton Abbey."

Good movie.
