What the *beep* did I just Watch??!!!!

Ok, I was home from work today, seen "The Woman" on netflix and decided to check it out, thinking it will be something similar to "Mama" which was just released or even something similar to "Splice". SPOILERS ALERT

Did not go in think I was going to watch a psychotic, wife abusing, rapist father grooming his son to be the exact same way. I don't know if I enjoyed it or disliked it. I will say though, I did enjoy the ending with the daughter seeing the woman and her killing the dad, son and mother. And then them surprising us with another animal child that they kept with the dogs, honestly wasn't expecting that, at first I thought maybe a pig when the boy was feeding it but I was caught up in the oldest daughter being pregnant by her father that I didn't really think anything of it. Anyhow, the movie looked good in HD, the woman was a little terrifying, even while she was getting raped. The teacher got killed by the animal kid. I just wasn't expecting what I just watched.
Yea.

Weirdly as others have said the music was one of the more shocking aspects of this film :?

The music was odd but made it funky - and although the film is well paced and edgy it is silly beyond belief -so maybe Lucky was very clever in having music which distracts mungos from the inherent silliness.

The older daughter is pregnant by her boyfriend. Not the father. The only time that's mentioned is by the dad when the teacher stops by the house. And that's only because that's just how psychotic/sociopathic the dad is. That's the first place his jacked up mind goes.

I hated this movie upon my first viewing. But it stuck with me to the point that I HAD to watch it again a week or so later. After that, I got it.

Definitely not a feel good flick. I challenge you to watch "The Girl Next Door" based also on a Jack Ketchum book. The guy's a little bleak to say the least.
