School Days of Wine and Roses

I loved this movie but at one point I was sure this is going to turn into Days of Wine and Roses (1962)with teenagers. I'm glad it didn't but I want to know did anyone else had the same filling I mean if You saw Days of Wine and Roses (1962)

reply

Yes, I did. And then the ending reminded me of another classic 60s movie. Woodley's open-to-interpretation look reminded me of the look on Dustin Hoffman's face in The Graduate.

Good catch! I didn't even pick up on that.

Yeah, right before I saw your posting I said exactly the same thing in another thread.

The difference between this movie and "Days of Wind and Roses" is that both Aimee and Sutter are young enough that they can still turn their lives around. Their adult characters haven't fully formed and set in concrete yet.

OP took the words right out of my mouth. I didn't especially care what happened to Sutter, but I was so afraid he was going to turn Aimee into an alcoholic like Jack's character did to Lee Remick.
