My dvr missed the last minute or so. Did they ever reveal what the mystery at the "mystery site" was?

They did not. And the chintzy way they made up those signs indicates it's probably bogus.

That's what I like: real roadside attraction cheesiness. Brings back memories of dumpy amusement parks and the like.

The "mystery site" isn't bogus. If I remember, it's a place that Luke (the child) had once visited or always wanted to visit.

No, they didn't reveal what the mystery was. There's a Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz, CA that sounds like what was in this movie.
