Season 2...WTH?

I don't know if I have to say it here, but this will contain spoilers!

For those who have viewed all of season 2, do you understand what happened at all through the entire series? I found myself wondering if the entire thing was really only a dream created by XIII.2 (the doppelgänger). In the final ep we see XIII and XIII.2 fighting each other in a white room AND lying in chairs attached to the dream machine. How can both realities exist in the real world?
I'm so confused. The writers really went out of their way in this second season to completely confuse us (or just me) all of the time -rather than some of the time in season 1. It's sad because I would have liked to see a season 3. (My guess is that this show will be cancelled. PLEASE, give me proof that I am wrong. I'll be keeping an eye out for information!)

I just finished watching all the episodes of season 2. Season 2 was ok. It wasn't great and it wasn't bad. Season 1 was much better though. I agree that the season was confusing. I don't think that the entire thing was a dream. Only the final fight between xiii and victor was in their mind. They were both attached to the dream machine. Just like xiii was in an episode earlier in the season. There is only one true reality. All the events happened in the real world. Some of the things you saw, like the final fight were in their minds. It was all very confusing. In episode 9 xiii's face was changed into victor's face. You didn't see that he got his own face back, but in the next episode he looked like himself again. Really weird. I wish Betty died. Her character was just terrible. Same with the female president and het awful accent. I like the show and hope that it returns for a third season, but i'm doubtful it will. If it miraculously get renewed the writers really have to do a better job. They should forget the second season ever happened and watch the first season again and start fresh.

I personally found season 2 to absolutely horid. It had all the same actors... and all the characters had the same names... but that's about all that was related as far as I'm concerned. To it seemed like the writers/creators/directors for season 1 left and new people came on for season 2. Almost every single character had a HUGE fundamental personality shift.

Season 2 plays like a cheesy dark comedy show.

I really kinda wish I had never bothered to watch it. Would have been much happier just letting it end after season 1.

I agree, Season 1 was really good but Season 2 was horrible. The ending of season 1 was bad too because Jones wasn't acting like herself but more like Gerdino. The power never really mattered to her until the last episode. The whole doppleganger 13 also confused the hell out of me. I assumed that they were doing a good 13/ bad 13 thing but in doing it that way it made it less believable and more like bad Sci-Fi.

I watched the first season on Reelz channel but have never seen season 2! I have been waiting for new episodes to air but have never seen any come on and was wondering what happened to this show as it is one of my favorites. Where did you see season 2? Has Reelz aired it and I just wasn't aware, or did another channel air it? Any help would be great!

reply

Help? If you haven't watched it yet, don't do it to yourself. You'll thank me later.

reply

LOL, oh, so true!

reply

Very true.

Season 2 was awful, I had no idea who was who and the entire show was confusing. It's a shame because I loved the first season.

Bauer vs. Bourne, that is the question.

The second season was a gigantic *beep*

I wholeheartedly concur on that bleep. I still have to watch the season 2 finale and I think I'd rather have another tooth pulled out than watch that tripe. One show was watchable from season two and the Tesla angle was interesting but really after that it went nowhere fast. What a waste of brainspace... I almost don't want a season 3 but if they renew it I'll watch the first episode. If it's like most of season two they've lost me.

P.S. I hate modern tv but love the Borgias, like Defiance and now loathe xiii. Those are the only modern shows I watch. Oops forgot Walking Dead...

Season 2 was utter stupidity and such a let down and waste of time.

Season 1 was brilliant but then its like the writers got hit on the head and lost any idea of what they were actually supposed to be doing.

Yes in TV, you have the luxury of creativity but there is being creative and taking the p.. Mick.
Id say avoid this like you would a zombie running down the street at you

I started watching Season 2, but admit I never made it past the first episode because I was just not enjoying it so much.

Alistair: Wait... What are you talking about?
Oghren: What are YOU talking about?

Season 2 was a disaster. First season was a good show. Season 2 was ridiculous. It seemed like they attempted to make the show even more ridiculous each episode. Really was waiting for an alien ship to land; believe that would have been the icing on the cake.

Reportedly Sarah Palin enjoyed it immensely, but Dick Cheney was filled with regret that he hadn't thought to "pull a Carrington".

reply

I gave up after 2 episodes. It's like they hired all new writers and directors and only gave them the characters names. They are totally different.

XIII became a whiney wimp.

Carrington has a goatee? (supposedly to look hip? Absurd. He looks like a terrorist)

Amos is suddenly heading a company with the most ridiculous name EVER, and when his family is killed he simply shrugs it off to screw the new president.

Jones is SOS for no apparent reason.

UGH!

Well, I saw it through to the end but now wish I hadn't bothered. I have absolutely no idea what the hell was happening. Anyone care to enlighten me ?

I just finished it today and when they showed them hooked up to the machines was like "is none of this real? now i'm confused" but if none of it was real what about the end where he remembered to take down the empire or whatever. I can't see how it could all have been a dream, a bit elaborate if it were. Seems odd.
