Any animal violence? Spoilers welcome

Okay, so I saw this once, a while ago, and I liked it way better than I expected to. I'm thinking about having it as one of the movies at my annual holiday horror movie fest (a tradition I started with my friend about 10 years ago to...well, to combat all the Christmas being beamed into our brains).

The thing is, this year her younger sister is joining us. She's a brave kid, almost 17, and she loves horror movies almost as much as I do, but she's sensitive to animal violence. I don't like it either, but she's a bit worse about it.

Can anyone tell me how badly animals fare in this movie? I think I remember something unpleasant happening to a fish, but I think she can handle that. Do I remember seeing dead chickens? Does anything happen to any of the neighborhood pets?
