One for the Horror books!!

Once in a great while a true horror film makes an appearance and this fascinating little film fit's the bill!! From the very beginning the film captivates and holds on till the very end.

The acting was very well done, the script unique and the blood keeps flowing. The blood & guts are a little cheesy but the squishy sound effects and subsequent chills the story sent up and down my spine more than made up for what the special effects lacked.

This film is not long or very involved, required very few actors and was probably done on one stage, save for a couple outdoor scenes, but a good yarn needs very much else, and this film is just that. A Good Yarn!!

I gave this film a 10 because it kept my attention the entire time, and I thoroughly enjoyed every spooky scene. If I had one complaint, it would be that it had an ending that left me wanting for more. However, IMHO that is not a minus.

Just watched this, and I completely agree with all of the above comments. This film was a great entry into the horror genre, far superior to the terrible Hollywood big budget horror films these days. Solid acting across the board, awesome interiors (the hallways in the building especially), and some awesome sound editing.

This is a very good movie indeed.

I was very surprised, gladly so because I did not expect much, but the actors and the script are just perfect and very skilled.

New Zealand has much to offer, but I know that fact since I was 15, as I had a girlfriend from Auckland!

Agreed, most underrated horror film I've seen in a long time. Well acted, directed and quite an intelligent little horror. No idea why the rating is so low.

8/10 from me.

Can't disagree with most of the above comments. Enjoyed this one quite a bit.

Not sure what some people expect from a low budget horror film though - the current mark (4.9) is very harsh. A nice solid 7 from me. Well acted, good atmosphere.

a true gem for the horror genre that will sadly be forgotten most likely .

I didn't spot that, that's very funny. Perhaps he just liked making up new words!

I was expecting some sleazy Nazi horror exploitation, but the script was definitely more intelligent than I thought it would be, and you could actually empathize with the characters. It almost felt like a stage play in parts.

The only thing that doesn't help it is that cheeseball poster. It looks like something for a really bad Syfy movie. And "War is a Bitch"? They couldn't have thought of something better?

If 10 is a perfect score, then that would mean you would put this film above or at the same level of a film such as Godfather II. No matter what you rate Godfather II, this score makes no sense.

This is one of the better stories in the horror film genre. I give this one a thumbs up!

History will be kind to me for I intend to write it.

Awesome movie! The fact that they used a rather limited set and cast made it feel like one of those old anthology horror tv shows from the 80s, like Monsters or Tales from the Darkside. Still, the acting was top notch and the areas such as the tunnels and altar room added some really creepy atmosphere.

Also, found it interesting that it kept itself rather serious throughout the entire film. Most movies, especially horror, try to pander to the teens and young adults by throwing in sophmoric humor or lots of sex, drugs and nudity for the sake of it(because it's COOL). This one kept a constant dramatic tone that echoed the seriousness of the situation. Sometimes I like that in my horror, something that doesn't try to dumb down the situation, but one that respects it's audience.
