Someone mind explaining the end of this movie to me?

I've re-watched the end a few times. It just threw a giant curveball at me and since I'm not religious - I'm lost on all ends.

First of all, what were the pictures of that the girl burned? And why did she burn them? To me it said she had some sort of allegiance to the writer's brother - but they never met before she got there. and it never showed him voodoo-ing her mind or anything... :/

Second of all, what is this 'new' religion at the end that everybody suddenly follows?

It seems to me like it's a religion war movie that makes no sense compared to that of Angels & Demons.

Anyway - what is this movie about exactly? Demons trying to kill a Devil or what? :s lol.

I took it that the woman was in ALLEGIANCE with the brother and it was a set up because the author brother DID have a following and his brother wanted to use that to his advantage. I also took it that the brother is the ANTI-CHRIST come to fool everyone with his "new religion". I could be wrong but by that time the movie had given me a dull ache in my head and I felt that explanation helped the pain of the past hour and a half. I didnt mind the twist too much really, I kind of liked it but the movie dragged on a lot.

What was in the pictures were the demons. The surveillance footage. It was the demons that made the brother walk, not the angels. Which the footage showed. So it had to be destroyed.

That's how I understood it.

Observation: I can't see a thing. Conclusion: Dinosaurs.
