Great film...ignore the bad reviews!

I've seen my share of horror films...both box office blowouts and $10,000 budget ones. So after reading the horrible reviews on here, I was expecting to be disappointed. But I loved this movie. To correct many of the other posts, the acting was GOOD, as was the story, the special effects, and especially the ending. They were all great. I kind of had a hunch as to how it would end, but it is not what you would call predictable. It did have a little bit of a "Saw" touch to it, at the end it did what, I think, every Saw movie did, had a moment of flashbacks on specific parts of the film that had hinted toward what the ending was, but you didn't realize it until the end. But it worked well for this film. And I recommend it to other horror movie lovers. It's definitely worth watching.

Well maybe it's the kind of movie where either you love it, or you hate it haha. To each their own (:

bad script = pure *beep*

OP: Are you getting paid to write this? The movie was terribly written, acted and had some of the biggest inconsistencies and plot holes I've seen in a movie all year. The pacing was odd and didn't work, build ups didn't lead up to anything - even the editing had a lot of flaws with bad cuts of different takes, amateurish flaws in the audio recording and so on and so forth. The music had its moments but in the end fit the rest of this terribly executed movie.

I wish I was getting paid to post my opinion about movies! lol. And I don't know...I just really liked this movie despite it's imperfections, which I'll admit there were quite a few of them. :p

Were you, like, drunk or stoned when you saw it? I can't think of one single redeeming quality about this movie and usually I can find some small kernel of good in any movie.

Ignore the idiots who hang here day in and day out just to say how bad a movie is and accusing anyone who doesn't agree with them as being part of the film. They're the ones who are suspect.

Why don't you people go hang out on films you like? Are your lives that useless?

So do I. I average 300+ movies, probably 90 percent of them horror, every year & have been doing so for the better part of a decade (been watching horror per se for 40+ years), so I like to think I have *some* foundation for liking a flick or not.

Or maybe I've just been really receptive lately.

I am getting ready to watch this myself, and I am going into it with a open mind.

For whatever reason horror fans crucify any movie that isn't "PERFECT" in there opinion...

I will place my thoughts shortly .. and give you the opinion of a horror fan since the age of 7. So for 30 years.

Although I am a horror fan I am not a fan of torture porn, or gore just for the sake of gore (unless it is humorous ala Evil Dead 2).

Just finished watching it. Give it a 6 out of 10.

Will this remake the horror genre, No but it is a solid addition.

Those that I read on these message boards complaining how this is the worst movie they have ever seen, are not much of horror fans. Any horror fan worth his/her salt has seen movies a thousand times worse then this one.
