What was on the roll of film!!!

OK, so I watched the end of the movie twice and while I get the general idea of what happened there were details that I don't understand.

1. What was on the roll of film that seemed so important to Javier and Joseph?

2. Why did Sadie burn the photos?

3. Was Sadie, Javier's wife and the literary agent in on it?

4. Couldn't the angels have communicated a little more effectively? (OK, this one I don't expect and answer to.)

5. Could the editing have been any worse? (Again I am really not expecting an answer to this one either)

1) no idea, I was wondering the same thing, but I'm going to presume something incriminating.

2) because, as I presumed, the photos contained incriminating images, and she was "in on the whole shebang".

3) obviously (at least, it was to me)

4) I suppose they could have.

5) I don't know, there is always room for improvement. I didn't find the editing all that bad.

1) Photos that showed Samuel standing in a Pentagram with horns sprouting from his head.

2) Sadie burned them because she is in on it.

3) Sadie, Samuel, Grant, and Richard were all in on it. Javier's wife was not.

4) No answer regarding the angels.

5) The editing wasn't that bad.

I paused the scene and really still couldn't make out what it was on the film. Probably the biggest plot issue in the movie considering the level of foreshadowing and build up the photos received. Whatever it was, it was bad for them I guess.

I don't think the agent was in on it personally, I think he just played into it with his greed pitching the diary behind the main character's back. Really though we just don't know for sure. Sadie and Anna were the only ones clearly set forward as the "apostles", with nothing saying that other characters weren't.

The issue of the angel's communication (or lack there of) is really one of those things that you have to fill in the blanks yourself on. There are plenty of reasonable explanations, for example an inability to manifest properly, humans simply being unable to comprehend, or more outright malevolent and blatant interference from the true demonic forces at play. Sticking with the Judeo-christian theology, fairly circuitous means of communication have always been portrayed. The need of human messengers and prophets to begin with speaks to that.

5. See Twilight. So, the answer is Yes.

...just sayin'...
