Lost for words...

I've just finished playing Infinite, having loved the previous two Bioshock chapters (particularly the first). And to be honest, I don't think there are any superlatives that can do justice to this epic masterpiece. People are probably going to argue this, but I can't think of a better FPS that has ever been released. Call of Duty, as far as I'm concerned, is a breeze in the wind compared to this. Call of Duty lacks the sheer originality of the entire Bioshock series. THIS is now the standard by which all other FPS games will be judged in my eyes, and strangely, no longer Halo (which Microsoft is slowly trying to kill if you ask me. It's just not the same as it was under Bungie). An unequivocal 10/10.

I agree. The originality of the gameplay was huge for me. Especially since most games released over the past 10-15 years seem to be FPS. I've played so many I feel like I'm becoming numb to them.

One great thing about this game is that it has amazing replay value. One, for the great story now that you know the facts. Two, I'm using a totally different play style with interesting vigor combos.

No, no one should dispute it. Bioshock Infinite has got to be one of the best first person shooters ever made, period. Its storyline alone is simply amazing, and the gameplay so fun and thrilling. A masterpiece of a game and a true GOTY contender for sure.

best game I've ever played for sure

Im a big bright shining star...(whips it out)... yeah..

I agree, it's an astonishing achievement.

I love how it interweaves all these different themes/influences: metaphysics/possible worlds theory/multiverse theory, steampunk, action/adventure, quantum physics, philosophy, travelling between realities/universes, alternate history, religion, racism, science-fiction/fantasy, memories/the human brain, and pretty much everything else that you could think of.

It's so cool.

reply

LOL! Each to their own I guess, this wouldn't make my top 25 games, and it's not a patch on Bioshock 1.

Not sure if some have been swayed by the reviews, i'm actually staggered it's rated so high.

It's dull from start to finish, the gameplay is a step back from previous Bioshock games and the story is all over the place.

7 out of 10 would be absoloutely pushing it.

If you hate the game so much, why are you posting on its IMDB page, tard? Oh yeah, because you are a lonely troll who gets off to saying stupid *beep* on the internet.

See? I can do that with any game.

Been playing games since i owned a Vic 20, Scott Adam's text based adventures (think: Zork)

Bioshock and Bioshock: Infinite + Burial at Sea 1+2 easily is one of the best video game sagas ever made. I actually reinstalled from my original Bioshock CD the other day and played through it again after all the DLC's for BS:I were fully released in order to realign myself with the entire storyline. Great stuff.

I only started playing the Xbox 360 about 2 years ago after not playing any video games since I was 12 and playing the original Atari. I'm 47 if that gives you any indication how old the Atari I used to play was. I was never very good. I'm still not. I don't play all the time and months go by without me playing. I got interested in playing by watching my boyfriend and his kids play. I like playing some of the Call of Duty and Modern Warfare games. I haven't played Bioshock 1 but I've watched my boyfriend play it. I've played 2 (not finish) but I played and finished Infinite and hands down these are my favorite games. I love love the graphics! Especially in Rapture because it has that Art Deco feel. I love the storylines, the gameplay. For me, they are relatively easy to play. Of course I play it on Easy mode but that's because I'm just not good at these games. My hand/eye coordination has never been great. I like how you can interact and explore the worlds. These games are so amazing and I wish they would come out with another one but I don't think that's happening.

I find the gameplay quite restrictive and eventually a tiny bit boring but I can forgive that for the incredible art, mood and story. Would love to see a Bioshock movie

reply

Agreed. The best game ever made imo, along with the first Bioshock, both an easy 10/10.

And yeah, Cod f^cking sucks now, the last good one was Black Ops II.
