When is it set?

I just saw it this evening--they don't say that it takes place on Christmas Eve, or how close to Christmas it is. It is just close enough that they were holding their office holiday party that evening. And the Jason Bateman character mentioned that he would be going to his parents' home for Christmas, but he didn't make clear when he would be going.

Not sure because Carol mentions 2 days left til quarter end which would typically be Dec 29. But it was obviously pre-Dec 25. I'm going to guess Dec 23 and their qtrs end on the 25th. That would also put it on a Friday night.
