The sorority is doing the hazing but the guys are the badguy?

ok so can someone please explain to me how it's ok for the girls to beat and torture the guys for doing what they had to in order to avoid being discovered and thrown out. Did they go over board yes, did they enjoy it probably but to me it seems alot worse that the Hazing was so bad the girls went along with it.
How is it the guys deserve a beating and the "sisters" who were doing this and worse didn't deserve anything like you know maybe jail time?

Personally, I appreciated the gender role reversal there. Ask a lot of girls, they will appreciate the part where they made the two guys kiss. I would argue the intent behind that was righteous. Overall, this movie was rather regressive with the "dumb" main character showing racism et al, but I said to myself "Whoa, this derpy and racist movie suddenly got feminist!' so I appreciated that whole angle.

There wasn't really any righteous intent, they were just doing the same thing the guys tricked them into doing in the dorm, nothing was learned or accomplished, so don't make it sound like something profound took place.

One of my criticisms of feminism is that it doesn't seek any equality, but just petty vengeance guided with a bitter viewpoint, as opposed to any progression or resolution, and if you truly consider them basically doing the exact same thing okay just because they're girls, or the boys did it first, or whatever, then you're definitely proving me right in that.

Also, they literally branded the two boys, and kidnapped them, which are both pretty major felonies. The moron boys did break into their house, which trust me, was absolutely retarded (Why would they do that? Really?), but at least they were under false apprehensions and thought they were somewhere they could get help for their friend. They didn't kidnap or assault any of the members of the sorority, and the sorority members in the room they tricked were written into being unbelievably stupid for that scene to take place. Regardless, the idiot Miller character merely tricked them, but the sorority girls meant to cause real, actual harm. The fact that the sorority girls didn't get any consequences for what they did was just another of the mountainous bits of stupidity in this movie.

If they wanted to go a route that would "empower" the sorority girls, they would've had the boys arrested, which would've happened in reality, because if they were able to track them down at the station, then they easily could've opted to have them fined, maybe serve jail time, and get expelled from school. The way they did things, the boys would be in a good position to sue the crap out of them in court, because they look way more like victims than the girls.

But of course none of that was considered because this movie was just awful. I only watched it because the majority of my friends for some reason wanted to see it and I enjoy their company.

exactly they broke in and spank some girls who asked them to(literally)

in real life they could have easily gone to the police and had them all arrested for false imprisonment and sexual assault(they would likely get charged them self) but the moment the girls were facing life in prison for false imprisonment they would likely drop all charges if the men did so 2

It's called "Revenge"!!
The guys took advantage of a situation with the 2 girls and made them 'make-out'. So the girls overpowered them and took revenge on the guys and made them do exactly the same. Two wrongs don't make a right. But it defintely makes the humiliated ones feel better about themselves.

Have you seen a movie called "Descent"? With Rosario Dawson?

SPOILERS

I get what your saying about revenge but as the girl in demon mask said the punishment should fit the crime but branding and kidnapping? Seriously? That was over board.

To be honest I got the whole crazy feminist vibe the moment that girl beat the *beep* out of the Asian guy ( didn't question his motives, was clearly drunk out of his mind, they could've easily booted him out of the house).

Though quite frankly, the boys deserved what happened to them. I mean it was so obvious that the ambulance driver was part of the Latino sorority.

reply

what they did was more than just revenge they broke the law and committed crimes that would have got all of them life in prison

holding a person hostage and forcing them to do stuff like that and branding them is false imprisonment(life in prison)

all the 2 guys did was break in and came across to chicks telling them to spank them. in reality they would have likely been able to plead out because they were drunk.

where in the girls committed major felonies

good points but its still a movie. I agree with your statement about feminism! Plus I think they did it for comedy sake

You can't really expect this movie to make sense like that when it was so poorly conceived to begin with.

This scene was simply done to get a few actors naked on screen for a long time. That's it.

they started it basically
