$15 spaghetti!

No way would I spend $15 for a small bowl of spaghetti and ONE meatball! Sheesh, not even a breadstick to go with it.

But remember, it also came with a pic, of a Z list celebrity. The only reason they're doing so well, is Vinnie. I'm sure the food is good, but $15? PUH-LEAZE!!

I watched tonight. Not sure what price the boys are asking for their grilled cheese -- guessing $12? They show them putting a rectangular slice of processed ham out of a packet. I thought it did NOT look like a particularly decadent sandwich worthy of a high price.

My date last night was awful. And then he wouldn't even spend the night.

yeah, pretty much any of this food i would hand back and ask for my money back. hardly any of it is made from scratch. i wish they would stop using this show as a gimmick and let the food trucks just compete with their food they make and sell in their hometowns. i have had some amazing food from food trucks, but these final two teams make things that look like hospital cafeteria food. very disappointing.

The problem with the show is, it doesn't matter how great your food is, it's how much you sell. So a truck like the Soul Food girls, who's food was made from scratch and great all the time, is sent home. And a crap truck, like the grilled cheese boys, get to stay.

BTW, the grilled cheese guys seem very nice, but I wouldn't pay that much, for a grilled cheese.

Have you seen the "pizza" they are selling? I would ask for my money back if I was served that. It looks awful.

I'm pretty sure the fix is in for Carretta Siciliana. FN loves its Jersey Shore alumni.

Sadly, I think so too. That selfie challenge with the $200 advantage was right up Vinny's alley and pretty much what he's been doing all along. :-\

who the hell wants spaghetti from a food truck anyway? i can't think of a worse offering in that setting

reply

I thought the same thing, but you'd be surprised what people will buy from a food truck.

At any rate, I think it was Vinny's persona and Jersey Shore fame that proved as much the draw as Ma's meatballs.
