Analogy for Life

I think this film (though it probably wasn't intended to be) is a perfect analogy for life.

The vacation is fun and innocent like childhood.
Just like real life, we are told we must go through a certain amount of discomfort or pain to be free (work for a living).
The most reasonable approach would seem to be to split up all the work equally.
The guy who seems most levelheaded about the whole thing actually ended up working for the powers that be the whole time.
The whole thing could have been entirely avoided if people reject the systems premise and just have an "orgy". (Hippie idealism)
Just like most stories on humanity, we fail to be idealistic or realistic and instead turn to evil and manipulation in an individualistic pursuit of happiness.
We all end up worse off for turning to evil. Unnecessary death and pain. The system is maybe even overthrown but the cycle continues.
