question about the ending

when Tayler is the last one in the house, she needs to suddenly make more endorfines or whatever. Because Sam did something to the vile of the dead guy i believe. my question is; how could he do that from the control room? i know he did something on the computer but the vile coudnt have broken that easily could it? after all the fighting and torturing the viles didnt break, so how come it could break now so easily?

reply

When the black guy died, his vile became useless, so that's why the meter went back down and Taylor had to torture herself more.

reply

Vial. That is all.

reply

Exactly.

reply

Then wouldn't that have been the case when the black guy's girlfriend died? Or did they already compensate for her after she died?

For the record, yes, they compensated for it after Greg's girlfriend died.

For the record, it was Tony's GF (Kai)not Greg as he was the reporter.

Tony and Kai were the couple that were friends with Nick and Tayler. They were the ones on the camping trip in the beginning. Lisa was the blonde that hid and had to be dragged out by Sam to take her share. Hanna was the brutal one that ended up taking a large amount of punishment for her previous actions. Greg was the reporter that was friends with Julian, the guy who tried to remove the apparatus early on and died as a result. Sam was the one who knew about the entire situation and had a hand in setting it up. It's truly not that difficult if you pay atten......ooh look a squirrel.

What's up with all of this "black guy" stuff. I see you used "Taylor" instead of "white girl". What are you, some sort of racist? I wonder how stupid I'd sound if I said "Greg" (which was his name, by the way), and then disrespectfully said "the white girl". Very rude, dude. Very rude.

reply

Not really. I can only remember Taylor's name. There's Taylor, the boyfriend, blond guy, black guy, black guy's girlfriend, pineapple bitch, cleavage girl, dead guy, gimp black guy, and toothy video woman. I'm guessing because Taylor was pregnant and it was mentioned a lot. Nothing racist about it.

-Dad, who's that?
-Oh, that? One of my patients. He's...sick.
-Will he live?
-It's looking grim.

PlatinumService
my..what an idiot you are..if anyone is a racist here - it's you..

reply

How? It's quite common to associate names to characters you don't remember and since 99% of horror movies have "that black guy" it isn't even a slight bit racist.

Would you rather have him refer to the guy as "that dark skinned fella"?

reply

It may not be racist, but it sounds ignorant as hell. Find another way to describe an individual. By the way, to the person who said this- saying someone is blonde girl or bald guy - even toothless woman, is not the same as pointing out someone's skin colour. I also see asian guy or latino used a lot, but very seldom white anything. Hmm? Believe me I don't go around looking for this race stuff; but it's so darn rude and there so often, it's hard to ignore. Kudos to PlatinumService for bringing it up. Forbid anyone ever say fat man or woman - targeting weight is offensive, but skin colour or ethnicity - who cares, right?

reply

Especially considering that the character names are only a click a way on the movies main page. A little research would've taken care of the problem. They can take the time to watch the movie but not check on character names. Its racist and lazy.

reply

You mean he could have gone to the main page and by finding the black actor he could have known the name of the black character? Greg, obviously. I never forgot that name. Greg.

I seldom see more than one or two black guys in a movie, too. If there's a movie that only has one white guy in it, are you going to go out of your way to never refer to him as "the white guy"? No, you're being stupidly sensitive about a stupid subject. To be honest, yes, he could have looked at the character page, but he didn't need to because when he referred to the black guy, you knew EXACTLY who he was talking about. There are actual bigots out there that you should be getting riled up about, not pointless stuff.

Oh for f!ck's sake. I'm black, and I think that's ridiculous. People use the most obvious physical differences between characters to refer to them in shorthand - and that's usually their gender, race, body type, hair color, style of dress etc. The reason people rarely say "the white anything" is because MOST CHARACTERS IN HOLLYWOOD MOVIES ARE WHITE. If anything it's Hollywood that's racist. If I'm watching a movie with six different white girls I'm gonna say "the blonde girl", "the fat girl", "the goth girl" etc to distinguish them. But if the movie has five black girls and ONE white girl, of COURSE I'm gonna say "the white girl." It's not racist, it's just convenient. Or is it racist to acknowledge the fact that differences exist at all now?

And I don't think it's necessary to refer to characters by name when talking about dumb@ss B horror movies where they're all meant to be interchangeable pieces of meat anyway.

Yours is the voice of reason.

Could not of said it better.

Very well said the spiral...

Some people are overly sensitive or just grasp at these things to cause an uproar. Nothing more...

reply

Very well put.Funnily enough I just watched Exam - none of the characters have names, but are called by skin or hair colour. Except one guy, they just call him deaf. So does that make it a racist movie? No, I didn't think so either...

reply

the_spiral, that is the Slinky of comments. The last sentence is perfect.

Its hard to ignore 'cause you're always looking for it. I'm a female of caucasian decent. Call me "white girl" and I don't give a damn. I ain't ashamed of it. Maybe you have some self worth issues you need to take care of. People are talking about a dumb movie. Who gives a *beep* White girl..black guy.. Take that *beep* somewhere else.

[deleted]

LOL, you look like a dumb@ss with all that.

reply

If there were 8 black people in the movie and 1 white person, everyone here would refer to that one as "that white guy."

Get over yourself. Get over your race baiting. Stop constantly, incessantly, minutely scrutinizing everything you see and hear to try and find those mean, nasty racists. Everyone is disgusted by race baiters who make it their only life to be bitter and accuse everyone of being a racist, while it's pretty clear THEY are the real bigots and racist.

reply

[deleted]

It's not racist, it's a simple memory thing. I just watched this movie LAST NIGHT, and the only names I can remember are Tayler and Nick, cuz they were the main characters, and Sam, cuz he was hot.
The way I remember the others are the titsy girl, the dead guy, the asian girl, the black guy, and Tayler and Nick's friends.
And if you'd used 'the white girl'? There's three white girls. There was only one black guy.

First thing i thought was "who pissed in your Cheerios this morning??" LOL
And here's the answer to your question:
He called him "the black guy" because he wasn't important enough to remember his name. nah, i'm kidding. :) its because there was only 1 black guy ( well, basically) if there was a bunch then he would have to call him by name so everyone would know who he's talking about.if there was all black people and one white then he would've said "the white girl" Also, she and her bf and the other couple were basically the main characters.damn, ya'll are ALWAYS throwing the "racist" card out there...every chance you get.

reply

Shut the f@ck up you stupid pc police wannabe. He can call it whatever he wants. Stop acting so butthurt over everything. You are what is holding back black people. Be like that other guy that said you were stupid for overreacting. Oh and for the record I'm Mexican and I don't care if there is a Mexican in a movie and they call him a Mexican guy. The guy you got mad at had no racist intention at all but as is typical of blacks and mexicans like you, you everything into a race issue. Break that stereotype moron.

reply

lol, people even responding to the poster represents the problem of America in a nutshell. It makes you come looking weak and emasculated.

The fact he whined over a poster calling him a "black guy" makes you sound PC yourself.

Ignore him and talk about the ending. Be a man for once.

reply

If I tell PlatinumService to kiss my black ass am I being racist. I would be willing to bet that PlatinumService isn't even black, he's probably over sensitive politically correct "white guy"

reply

People like you are why people hate race baiters.

Nobody brings up race or racism. Except race baiters such as yourself. "Black guy" is a perfectly normal way to point out which of the 8 people in the house you're referring to. Get a life. If there are any white racists out there, I'm pretty sure they became that way by the never ending race whining like you're doing above.

reply

Seriously your going to turn talking about a movie and ruining the conversation into a racial issue. Thats the problem now days is because no one can say anything without some over sensitive and sometimes baiting a argument dumb nuts. Call me a white girl ...ask me if I care. Are you black? If not shut up, if so get over it and call me a white girl...I would never be offended, call a person a black person and all heck breaks lose these days. And if I was here and didnt know the names I would be dam if I would go back and be bothered to look up names when I am already here...yes its a hassle. Wow get a life. Now about the movie...it was intense but good

reply

Racist? Me? haha, I don't think so.

I just didn't remember anyone's names expect for Taylor, and the colour of their skin is easier to decipher them by.

reply

The problem is that there were 2 black guys in the movie. Saying black guy may not be racist but it sure as hell is lazy.

reply

Thank you everyone...this was an enjoyable feed to read

reply

Hey Platinum.. Get over yourself.

Question about the ending? I have a question about the beginning. Like how did this movie get made in the first place? What idiot thought this was a good idea, and who are the retards giving this any rating above 2?
