So stupid...

Besides the fact that every character in this movie suffers from a bad case of "Don't just do something, stand there!" all it takes is a simple google of dopamine, serotonin and adrenaline to find that these biochemicals can be generated from SO many things other than inflicting physical pain. That percentage counter should have been going up from the start just by them being there because they were freaked out. Not to mention there are PLENTY of ways to cause someone pain without physically mutilating them.

Why would they concoct this elaborate plan with the sealed house and extraction mechanism instead of just torturing their subjects themselves? Why make it seem like they are being let free only to have their "inside man" try to kill them all anyway? Is it really necessary that there be a mole?

The movie doesn't make any sense on several different levels.

Thanks for the spoiler alert, it was very helpfull...

some movies are ok being spoiled lol

reply

Sorry about that, but if you're sensitive to spoilers, you really shouldn't be reading IMDB forums for movies before you watch them, right?

reply

Wrong

reply

100% right.

reply

NO. 100% WRONG.
I and many others have a look at IMDb before seeing a movie. One reason is just to get a sense of the film to see if it's worth spending money on.
The marketing or blurb, etc. can be deceiving, especially with horror films. Takes no effort to put a spoiler warning, and it keeps everyone happy, so why on earth would you discourage this practice???
NOT EVERYONE IS YOU!

Ignorance is bliss... 'til it posts on the Internet, then, it's annoying.

Wait, I haven't seen this but is it really as dumb as it sounds? Why go to all the trouble of implanting a vial in someone's brain stem and having them rip out their toenails or whatever, when you could just extract the fluid in a simple procedure? Do they explain that somehow or is this just the dumbest movie of all time?

reply

Not only that, how retarded are those drug lords?!?!

I ain't overly educated or anything yet i instantly found the absolute best way to generate maximum chemical from 1 subject in a relatively safe nearly legal way...
Plug this device on a pregnant woman with their baby on their way. Can score maximum pain threshold if you're lucky for over 8 hours. Forget the damn vials and bring in a freaking 2 liter coke bottle.
Now i admit theres always the ethical aspect of the thing, i mean, to do this to a pregnant woman? Well i THINK it's a lot more ethical than what they did in the movie.

I don't understand why they did not try sex.The blond guy mentioned that It would work.

No doubt. Someone is going to stick their arm in boiling water before banging their girlfriend?

To be fair, the method chosen didn't make a particularly good horror film either.

I watch a lot of movies, particularly horror and can honestly say this is the worst all around film I have seen in quite a while. There is nothing redeemable about this at all. The actors did their best but there was historically bad writing, filming and editing. Not scary at all. Not gross enough to be torture porn. Just a waste of everybody's time. A movie like this makes me respect all other movies that I consider "bad" as they at least did a few things correct.
