Who was the target audience?

I bought this movie because I found it for a couple of bucks, and remembered my mom had mentioned it.

I watched it last night, and thought it was "meh," with some painfully awful parts, and some great parts, however!...

Who the heck was it made for? It's churchy enough to be made just for Christians, but it has swearing and sex, so....? Not to say Christians never swear or have sex, but when watching a Christian movie, it isn't something that would appeal to them. But there is so much emphasis on God and Jesus that many non-Christians will not enjoy it. Not to mention, it's SO cheesy, in a way that only works in the "good" Christian movies.

I just don't get it.

I totally agree with you. The lines were sooo cheesy. Especially from Jeremy Jordan's character.

And for me, Queen saved this film. lol

I'd say that the target audience would most likely be Christians, as well as fans of Dolly Parton and QL.

Hope changes everything.
