Damn you, Dolly!!

The only reason I wanted to see this was because Dolly Parton is in it. I've loved everything she's done because she always seemed so down-to-earth and genuine.

I don't know WHO this puffy, plastic, Joan-Rivers-look-alike mannequin is, but this definitely is not the Dolly I remember or expected to see. If that's the face we have to look forward to in the future, I won't be watching anything else she does.

I just can't believe, of all people, Dolly Parton did this to herself. I wish I could slap her face...it would make me feel better, and she wouldn't feel a thing.

Have you been living under a rock? She's looked like this for 10-15 years.

reply

Thankfully she still has her wonderful singing voice!

reply

She had a chin implant right before filming instead of a face lift. It has since been removed. Shhhh.

Dolly has never made it a secret that she likes plastic surgery. What she does with her own body is her choice - at least she doesn't lie about it like 99% of the actors in Hollywood. In fact, a direct quote from Dolly:

"If I see something saggin', baggin' or dragin', I'm gonna have it nipped, tucked or sucked."

I find it appalling too, she looks just horrible! Why can't stars just get old gracefully and set a good example for the rest of us? The stupid, tight faced, sharp cheek-boned, tiny nose, big lips look is SO LAME and pathetic. Ugh!!!

I agree with the OP. I am currently watching Joyful Noise on HBO, and she looks ridiculous. I know she has always admitted to nip and tucks, but her upper lip and mouth are horrible. I can't even watch the movie. Some plastic surgeon needs to lose a license to practice.

reply

Truly! She looks like Jack Nicholson as The Joker, and he is SUPPOSED to look hideous!

reply

I'm with you, OP. So shocking to find that someone in the movie industry has had plastic surgery. I certainly do hope that this does not become a trend! :-(

So many get that clown face mouth and it looks ridiculous. Dolly is a lovely woman and having a few things done is fine by me, but she didn't look good in this movie. Her voice was so good, though!

reply

Geeze Louise guys! Give the poor woman a break. She was 66 years old when she made that movie. We all get old. It's no sin. She is great. Just appreciate the talent and quit being so superficial a over appearance.
