If my kid is going to watch cartoons, I make a point of watching a few episodes myself, and I have to say, it was not a painful event.
This is clever writing, and they've added the winning ingredient of jokes aimed at the parents. I especially liked the Brady Bunch reference.
If I were you, you should read my review of this show on IMDB. I praise the ever-living heck out of it.

They are soooo messed up. They are painful to watch and listen. They would make you wanna be grateful for the mute button and the ability to flip the channel.
This show is normal and pleasantly delightful to watch.
If you want NORMAL this one is normal with a capital N.

Adventure Time isn't so bad. A bit confusing, and nothing for the parents to chuckle at, but I do get a kick out of my son occasionally using the exclamation "What the cabbage?"
shareHey, "Adventure Time" and "Regular Show" are pretty funny. I do agree about "Amazing World of Gumball", though. Based on the three episodes I forced myself to sit through, that show is an endurance test.
I also agree that "T.U.F.F. Puppy" is a funny show.

I love Tuff Puppy just wish I could see it more often, I am not even sure it is still on. as far as regular show and Adventure time I don't find them funny and the language in Regular Show is inappropriate IMHO.
