Where was it filmed

Those homes in the flashbacks...very San Francisco style...Vallejo?, Benicia, Bodega Bay?.......anyone know? (When the INK SPOTS were singing SETTING THE WORLD ON FIRE...or was it the MILLS BROTHERS.

Much of it was filmed here in Atlanta last Fall. Betty White sightings around town were rampant and highly coveted. Her character's house is in my neighborhood, on Oakdale Road near Emory University, and it was fun passing it every day, seeing it's many different appearances and the vintage cars parked outside. I was walking by one afternoon and Ms. White was sitting on the wall across the street, talking to the neighbors and petting their dogs. Billy Magnussen was out there another day - very friendly. I don't know that the entire film was shot here, but I recognized many local actors in supporting roles, and there are several neighborhoods here that look like the ones in the scene you asked about. And it was the Mills Brothers.

Yes, at the end of the film credits it was recognized that it was filmed in Georgia. Great job and real vintage feel throughout the many, many flashbacks in the movie.

Although I don't believe they specifically stated their location in the movie, I also got the impression that it was somewhere in California.

In the original novel, Pasadena, California was named as the location.

The outdoor train shots were filmed at an old train station in Chattanooga, TN. The indoor train station was in the Capital building in Atlanta, GA.
