Just bloody Zombies-AGAIN!!

Thought this may turn out to be a neat little idea-but it turns out to be just another twist on the zombie genre. What is the attraction of zombies? Its a dumb, stupid premise but its seems to be the most popular and over-used horror movie device in the last 15 years. I don't get it!
Apart from that-this movie had its moments-and for $7,000,0000 has some of the nicest visuals for Mars I've ever seen-and the ships looked very real-if it was models or CGI-top notch.
But....the actors mumbled-its like they took lessons from Matthew McConaughey from interstellar- ''In Space No One Can Hear The Dialogue..''

Agreed.Zombies are not scary , merely irritating. I also feel the same about vampires ( a form of zombie I suppose) .

I think it probably stems from being cheap. A bit of makeup is way cheaper than designing alien monsters or whatever.

Even so, I think they could have been more imaginative about how the bacteria might affect people. It doesn't really make any sense that it would have developed the ability to sort of take over the body of a human being, having evolved independently of any such animal.

I think the real problem is lazy writing and audiences settling for unimaginative stories. There's more to sci-fi than monsters in space.
