Started out well, second act started to go bad.

The first 30 minutes are your typical tradtional space sci-fi type movie. If you enjoy that sort of thing, for example "Saturn 3" (1980) or "Moon" (2009) then this was good enough stuff the way it was going.

The second act at about 34 minutes in and there is basically like a zombie attack and I just progressively lost interest from then on.

I'm sure I could watch this again and might enjoy it but the title seems to have little to do with anything. Also when they film a Mars film they should do it in central Australia as that is where Ayers rock and the surrounding geography came from. 
