Ok, I have just watched episode 4 and was so moved at the performances and particularly the writing... I felt compelled to write. So, I just came her to congratulate Dawn French, Alfred Molina and everyone involved in this great, funny and really moving show,,,,

Another sad, moving performance by both lead actors.

You mean ep 6 is the final..... Gutted.... the whole series was fantastic, started off as a light comedy introducing the characters looking for the lost guarantee and developed into a really moving show.
Both Dawn French and Alfred Molina excelled.... desperately hoping for more.... come on BBC, these are the sort of shows that only the Beeb can make....

I was attracted to this show by Alfred Molina, and found something so entertaining; well written scripts with subtle, sly lines that bear repeated viewings. Two masters at their craft. I join smorris200 in hoping that there will be more than one series although time seems to be running out for that to happen now. All the more reason to cherish this series.

The only problem it has is that its listed as a sit-com and it really isnt, its a wonderful drama that happens to be funny (like life!)

I can't recommend this show highly enough. Could there be a Series3?

I love this series, definitely a drama with funny bits. The acting and the script is top class and so unusual in that no other characters are shown, we only see them through Roger and Val's eyes/perspective.
Wonderful series, now I'm looking for 2nd series on DVD, but can't find a release date. Any kind person know when it will be released?
