Did anyone catch the Lifetime show that interviewed actual mom?

Question to anyone who did catch it...does the actual mom seem to have life as together as the movie mom did? I did not see the supplemental show to the movie, but from what I have read online, I am suspecting that the movie took liberties to make Mom seem more endearing.

I did and from what I can tell from her interview, she very much has it together. I believe because of the constant complaints the father made to child welfare services, an investigation was insude and dismissed and found not to be credible -- this is documented fact. He tried to convey she was an abusive mom and that he should have custody of the child and this complaint was found not to be true.

My question after watching the movie and that interview is, whether HE was totally together or not. He didn't have a job, was months and months behind in child support payments. Took this English speaking child to a country and placed him in a school to sit in a class where he understood nothing and was mocked and picked on every single day because he looked a little different. My heart was breaking for that little boy. I think he (the father) was the crazy and unstable one not her.

I found her to be a very smart woman (whose actually a teacher I believe) from Queens NY who just got tied up with the wrong man.

In any case he ended up serving time for that abduction and forging the passport I believe.

Thank you so much for the thorough reply. I am glad to know that my impression was wrong. I don't think she was really a teacher though, because I read that she had contacted a teacher to help her post on that web site for teachers. But that article could have been wrong.

Thanks again!

She is a teacher. As reported by many news outlets in NY, she teaches elementary at a Public School. So I don't know where your getting your info from but...its not something you can fake -- its info thats easy to verify. Bottom line is she's a good mom who thought she was doing the right thing by handing her son over to his dad and expecting him to bring him back.
