Jackman is the worst

Everyone always lambasts Crowe but the worst singer in this version is Jackman I hate the way he phrases things and over sings everything it comes off as faked emotion and he seems off pitch most of the time. Ugh

I completely agree with you. Jackman sounds fine sometimes, but when he holds out notes, he seems to overuse the vibrato and ends up sounding nasally/annoying. Same with Eddie Redmayne (imo). I personally do not mind Russell Crowe's voice at all; he kind of sounds like he's yawning, but that's my only complaint.

Hey sweetheart? Let me share a little secret with you: Everything people post on a message board is "speaking for themselves". Including what you just typed out. So, speak for yourself. And have fun worshipping your new idol. Bye now.

You accuse me of stating the obvious when you ended your worthless little rant telling those who disagree to "speak for yourselves" which was you stating the obvious, by your own definition and admission. So, here's something very obvious to me but clearly not so obvious to you: you are a hypocrite with zero self awareness. Suck on that, sweetheart. Now run along and be a vapid *beep* somewhere else. Thanks :)

reply

The beeped word was C U N(ext) T(uesday).

Just helping you figure it out since you're obviously not very good at discerning things. :)

Gotta run. Toodles sweetheart.

He was in no way bad as crowe but he doesn't have the power in his voice to give bring him home the performance it needs like for example Alfie boe does. That being said the original valjean (the priest) isn't as powerful as Boe.

I found both Jackman and Crowe wonderful casting.

And this video clip re their singing together gives a clue on why Barbra chose Hugh for their duet --

Relatedly, the Jean Valjean part was directed to be primarily an acting part, with the singing complementing the acting choices, according to Tom Hooper.
