Why did the factory girls hate her so much?
Not like she was bitch or troublemaker.
shareI expect that the women were jealous of Fantine's beauty and the fact that she was getting special attention from the foreman. Initially they were disappointed that there was nothing to criticise about her as a person but when they found out that she had a child born out of wedlock, they had an excuse to vent their spite on her.

They were jealous of her looks but they were getting action from the foreman though. Fantine constantly turned him down which is what led to her getting fired since he saw her as a hypocrite once it came out about her child. In the book they didn't like her because they were suspicious of her from day one

If you get someone else fired, your own job is a little more secure.
In France, in 1815, you need no more reason than that.
She wouldnt do what they would have for the foremans favor like she was better than them.
shareFYI technically there should have been no male foreman in the women's part-it was a woman foreman in the book. (The men had their separate workshop). Techinally the women didn't suspect anything at all in the book until some nosy townswoman literally went all the way to (innkeeper's town) to find out about the mystery child..
