Dubbed?

At one point in the movie, all the dialogue spoken by James Franco's stepdaughter (in the time period where they take her to the playground) felt outstandingly off. I noticed there was a lot of ADR in the movie as a whole, so most of the dialogue sounded "too close" (too clear, too little ambient noise) in comparison to the shot composition. (Did they even use a boom mic at all?)

But even still, everything she said in that time period sounded so overly enthusiastic and off that I wonder if that was even the same actor.

And come to think of it, German cinemas usually show Hollywood movies in dubbed versions, which means the stigma against unsynced lips is probably smaller, so they just went with a ton of ADR just to avoid all the hassle that comes with boom recording because they were going to dub it for the Germans anyway.
