Signe Real Name and Crimes in Sweden

Can someone explain the deal with Signe? The guys implied that the Swedish girl came to New York City to escape crimes she committed in her homeland. And that she had changed her name at some point. But they kept calling her Signe until the end of the movie.

She was really Greta from Stockholm. Later, we learn that she had murdered a famous singer, taken her place and moved to New York. Her great grandfather had rigged the Hindenburg for its explosive disaster.
