I watched it for the dozenth time the other day and noticed something

The matches that Chen steals from Namgoong. Chen uses them to light the fire for the torches. But, he is never shown giving the 2 matches that are left back to Namgoong. Later in the film, near the very end. Namgoong gives the last cigarette in the world and the second last match to Curtis. He later uses the last match to light the bomb.

But, what I don't understand is how did Namgoong get the matches back from Chen? Chen stays in the back of the train. He never meets up with Namgoong and Curtis.

Did anyone else noticed this (extremely small) mistake?

Dozen times watching this movie. That sounds like cruel and unusual punishment.

Yes it does. I think it's actually outlawed by the Geneva Convention.

Why? It's a great movie!

No this is actually one of the few highly praised movies of the last few years that lived up to the hype for me.

I noticed that too. Probably a goof or a deleted scene?

I suppose it's a big stretch to say they passed the matches from person to person along with the torch during the tunnel scuffle. With so many people it'd be very hard to not drop them.
