FO:NV Mods


I'm ready to start adding mods. I've gone thru a couple of plays. 1st my "normal" reactions (wound up as more of a Follower than either NCR or Legion and wound up taking the Strip as my own.) 2nd run was "all for the Bear." I don't even really care to play a Legion run, so I'm gonna start modding things up. I do already have FOMM (the mod manager,) and an "unofficial" patch that just makes it run glitch free. Now I'm looking to change things, with 2 exceptions. 1st: I don't want to "supercharge" anything. No gamebreaking new guns, no completely unbalanced new or modified perks. I probably won't mod anything that changes the core rules or adds new weapons. Hell, GRA pretty much already broke NV; I don't need to do anything to make it worse. 2nd: I don't need "superhard" mode added either. I don't mind a little challenge added, but I don't want to resort to save scumming to get thru every single encounter.

Oh and I got a sweet new video card since the last time I played, so I won't mind making it look better.

Mostly just looking for graphic and maybe ambient upgrades. Maybe adding or completeing unfinished quests or adding new areas (as long as it isn't full of easy to get gamebreaking stuff.)

I'll probably go back to neutral-ish again... this time side w/ House. Other games I was 1st a sneak/gun specialist with a repair focus, then a melee focus survivalist with a science background. I'm thinking this time I'm going arsonist/bomber who's (kind of paradoxically) a medic (probably going to crank sneak again, pickpocketing bombs never stops being funny.)
