Why the hell is this movie called Chronicle??

My best guess is that the main character was all about chronicling his life and the life of those around him. I guess if it weren't for his chronicles, we wouldn't have a movie. However, you'd think with all the action that occurred, SOMEone would have dropped a camera at some point. Especially in the end with the girl. You're inexplicably being flown and tossed around in a car, but you STILL feel compelled to "chronicle" the situation?

Agreed and also do regarding the inconsistencies that seem to bob up periodically with characters onscreen but still seemingly filming telekinetically or some such bizarre way.🐭

Yes, because that is how our culture is. We have the need to record everything, and then post it to Facebook or Youtube or blog about it. It's natural instinct for most people now to keep recording with cellphones.

The literal meaning of the word chronicle is 'the recording of an historical event in chronological order'. So, basically, Andrew recording him and his friends making history...in chronological order.
