Why does this sound like its basically 'Grave Encounters'?

I haven't seen this yet but reading the story summary here and on amazon.com makes it sound exactly like "Grave Encounters" or are they both movies basically about the same thing?

There are some similarities, in that both films find their basic storyline in a paranormal investigation gone wrong. The Feed, however, which was released about 6 months before Grave Encounters, simulates a live TV show, avoiding the typical found-footage stereotype. It actually plays in real time, complete with TV commercials, on-air bumpers and station IDs. The Feed is set for wide release on September 3rd via VCI Entertainment. I'd encourage you to check it out!

I appreciate that you're taking the time to respond to people who have watched your work and I think that's great-- with that being said, and I hate to do this to you, but I have to admit I think choosing to run the movie in real time, including ads, was a terrible directional choice. I understand wanting to avoid the many pitfalls of found footage and the sub genre, but you rant the movie neat into the ground with the painstakingly slow pace of the film and the commercials definitely didn't help. I found myself thinking, "If I wanted to be watching something that was so poorly acted and wrought with advertisements I could be watching an actual paranormal investigations show, and they would have at least spared me from watching the 'documentary' in the beginning." You have a neat concept, but as an avid movie watcher, you lost me nearly ten minutes in. This is one of the few movies, I could probably count them on one hand, that I opted not to finish.
