Underwhelming?

Was really loving this movie, kinda get the similarities people have made to The Walking Dead series although it's not even in the same league. But the movie flatlined for me with the way it just ended, almost out of nowhere.

I kinda didn't mind the way it ended. I was expecting it to go the typical route of having the warehouse overrunning with infected and everybody dying, so I was pleasantly surprised when they get rescued and actually live. Not every movie of this type has to have a bleak or over-the-top ending.

Comparatively speaking though I like The Day more, which is kinda similar to this in turns of setup and has a much bigger/bloodier climax.

Don't try to cash in love, that check will always bounce.

The bit where the government official was talking to the main character through the glass was painful. What an awful way to try to "wrap up" and explain a movie. Ugh.

That said, I don't agree with you that it ended out of nowhere...I was ready for the ending at about the one hour mark.

Yeah, I think the movie was longer than it needed to be and some of the incidental scenes when on too long. But I liked it more than I thought I would.

The person that recommended it to me told me it was very slow, so I went in with no expectations. I was in the mood for a zombie movie with a different take and it was that.

I can see how they would compare it to The Walking Dead since it's more about the day to day survival and how everyone needed each other.
