I Thought This Movie Was Made in the 80s!

When I started watching, I had no idea it was made in 2012. The intro credits and graphics, the style, sound, etc. I thought this was made in the early 80s. The the hot blonde says "O.M.G." And I thought, WTF! Nobody said OMG in the 80s!I couldn't believe this was only 5 years ago!!! The production was so cheesy and low budget! It kind of added to the movie as it made it seem to me as if the girls were shifted back in time while the captain and crew were shifted forward and the Island they were trapped on was somewhere in between 1865 and 2012 (ie: 1982ish).

Just my take. Wonder if anyone felt the same and also, wondering if it might have been done that way on purpose.
