I noticed there was no Goofs page for this, the house has modern heat ducts/vents but no electric?

You're not thinking outside the box. This whole movie is a goof. I can not understand why or how someone can take a classic, totally butt rape it and call it an original movie. This just shows me that someone has more money than they do talent.

They call it an original movie because it wasn't released anywhere else, not that they are claiming ownership to the original material.

Recently, I haven't seen a book like this from the 19th century done straight, without some "modern" element. It's sad but true.

The soldiers from 1865 were also wearing modern waffle long underwear shirts.

You need to look closer: there were covered electric switches on many of the house's walls.
