Forgive me for liking it

As SyFy original movies go this one was good and I liked it. No it won't win an oscar but it was good enough to waste time watching. Does anyone know if they are planning to make this into a series as the ending alludes to? The eye candy was pretty great too btw.

Sheppard wants to do the series as do the filmmakers. A 20000 Leagues basis. It is up to Syfy! Thanks!

reply

NO! No, I will not forgive you for liking it! It's the stupidest pile of *beep* I have seen this year! Sheppard clearly never read the book, and he thinks we the audience are too stupid to have read more than he has! He insults our intelligence, and you're asking for more!

Who says that TV shows have to exactly follow the book? If I wanted to have it be exactly like the book then I would stick to reading the book.

If we're going to start picking apart literary adaptations into cinematic/video ones, look no further than comic books. "Man of Steel" wasn't anything like any of the comic books. Neither was "Batman Begins". None of the "Mysterious Island" movies have been exactly like the book. All you can do is judge the movies on their own merits.
