Saw it! Absolutely HILARIOUS!!

Kevin Smith does it again with his series of personal stories in front of a large audience! I don't want to give much away, but he talks about his first experiences with marijuana, the filming of Cop Out (and his once crippling fear of Bruce Willis that blossoms into a deeper friendship and working relationship), and getting arrested in Canada and nearly his own home. The stories he tells almost play out like a movie just listening. Great stuff from a man who was born to tell stories. Highly recommended when it comes to DVD and Blu-ray.

Was there any of the Q&A stuff or was it just the first querstion and him talking for the next 2 hours? The show started a little after 7:00 PM and we didn't get out of there until 1:30 AM so I can't wait for the DVD.

Sorry I replied late. No, there was no Q&A stuff. It was literally just that one dude's question and 2 hours of stories just as you said. Still great though. Funny how Kevin said at the beginning that he was going to stay away from doing that on that night.

When he came back out after the ONE question, he said that he wanted to see if he could talk for the entire length of the special. He was quite proud of himself, I thought of it as an homage to Carlin.

I actually think this was his best show since An Evening With Kevin Smith. The last An Evening with Kevin Smith DVD felt very odd to me. Some of the stories felt like he wrote them. Too Fat For 40 felt like it was all real stories and was funnier. It's too bad he shares all his funny stories at his Q&As and online. Some of these stories would be hysterical in a movie. But once he tells them, he can't use them.

what?? thats not what i got out of it at all, more like he hates Bruce Willis now

I agree. Basically this is the movie star version of his Prince story. Bruce was pretty much a dick to him throughout most of the shoot and then threw him a bone at the very end.
