Name Change? G.I. Joe: ...

Renegades is fine. If they are really going to make big changes when Season 2 finally happens, I could see them going with a new name like what happened with Justice League, but I really hope that this show continues in the same direction it was going in before.

A lot of the staff for Season 2 will probably be somewhat different since everyone who made Season 1 is currently working on different projects (either for Hasbro or elsewhere), but I hope that at the very least we get the writers and some of the artists back.

I highly doubt the show is gone for good-- the official word is that the show will return alongside the second movie. It's a bit of a wait, but shows have went through longer waits before returning for their next season. The Terminator TV series ended mid-season and didn't come back for almost a year, and The Sorpanos is probably the most infamous example of a series taking an absurd amount of time between seasons.

This show is doing well-- it's making money and helping to build a good reputation for the G.I. Joe brand, and that's what matters to Hasbro. GI Joe is one of their biggest franchises, and they are not going to leave it off of the airwaves indefinitely while their other franchises flourish.
