If you enjoyed this Documentarty....

What other ones would you recommend, that you feel fits close in some similarity?

It doesn't have to be the same type of story, I just really enjoy engaging social / cultural / crime documentaries like this.

Other ones I enjoyed were (but not limited to, I always forget a couple)

-Talhotblond (2009)
(Not to be confused with the movie they made about the story with the same name, in 2012)

This is the true story of a love triangle that takes place entirely online. Lies lead to murder in real life, as a teenage vixen (screen name 'talhotblond') lures men into her web. Revealing a shocking true crime story that shows the Internet's power to unleash our most dangerous fantasies.

-Catfish (2010)
(I know there is a lot of controversy pertaining to this title about how "legit" it is. Nonetheless, even though I believe the story is real, they might have taken some small liberties)

Young filmmakers document their colleague's budding online friendship with a young woman and her family which leads to an unexpected series of discoveries.

-Impostor (2012)
(I already knew the story going in, but this one was a really interesting character study)

A documentary centered on a young Frenchman who claims to a grieving Texas family that he is their 16-year-old son who has been missing for 3 years.

-Bully (2011)

A documentary on peer-to-peer bullying in schools across America.

-Jesus Camp (2006)
(Even though I grew up in a "Christian" household. Some of the things in this actually surprised me)

A documentary on kids who attend a summer camp hoping to become the next Billy Graham.

-Life 2.0 (2010)
(I actually enjoyed seeing the people behind the characters, and how diverse and different each of their lives were)

This feature-length documentary follows a group of people whose lives are dramatically transformed by a virtual world -- reshaping relationships, identities, and ultimately the very notion of reality.

I know there is probably more that I really enjoyed but can't think of right now. I know documentaries like "Exit through the gift shop" and "Senna" are said to be really good but honestly those aren't the kind I'm looking for right now. Anyone that's similar to one of the listed would be lovely. Thank you!

I liked "Forbidden Lie$", about a woman who wrote an acclaimed book about a Jordanian honor killing. The filmmaker calls into question the actual existence of the victim and exposes Norma Khouri as a fraud.

Also "The Woman Who Wasn't There", which exposes a woman who claimed to have been in the Twin Towers on Sept 11 and to have lost her fiancé to the attacks. (Total lie)

Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father. It's on Netflix, I HIGHLY recommend! I saw it years ago and still think of it often, definitely one of the best documentaries I've seen. If you do watch it avoid reading too much about it first or it'll spoil it.

The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, nothing like Tabloid, and going in I had zero interest in the topic but it's just good!

Jupiter's wife, older but very thought provoking.

Crazy Love. It's about a woman who is blinded when her jilted lover throws acid in her face, and years later she marries him.

X2 That one was what I was going to say.

Superior film to this. You get both sides of the story. And Linda is such a presence.

Guess who has two thumbs, speaks limited French, and hasn't cried once today? This moi.
