The reporters

Is it just me or did anyone else feel like the reporters were more detestable in this documentary? I'm not condoning what Joyce did because obviously she had her own problems but I couldn't take the smugness of the two reporters that were interviewed retelling their stories of what happened. Do they think they are better people when their job involves prying into other people's lives? I get that it's their jobs but I just felt like they looked down at Joyce as if their choices in life are any better. I understand we are supposed to be entertained at the absurdity of this woman's actions but at the same time I found it more distasteful to hear these men getting amusement out of someone's sad life story and on top of it think they are right in doing so. It just left me with a sad feeling.
