I wonder how people who watched this movie feel about this.

Glad for Bernie. He was the victim of a sociopath and probably had no idea how to handle the evil that he was dealing with. People like Nugent, who have NPD, are extremely cunning, conniving, controlling. They perceive kindness as weakness. They will push a good-hearted person beyond their limits just for sport.
An NPD is a master of lies, manipulation and deception. They excel at running smear campaigns. Nugent may well have been threatening to ruin Bernie with lies.
Unfortunately, I have extensive experience with someone who has this personality disorder.
I would never consider murder, but I and so many others will rejoice once this abuser is dead.

Oh if anybody should have copped a "not guilty by reason of temporary insanity" plea, it should have been him. And if Marjorie had added the occasional slap to her psychological abuse, he could have invoked "Battered spouse." (or partner.)

A "good-hearted" person who had no problems taking her momey and hiding Nugent's corpse for NINE months atfer murdering her, showing no signs of remorse.

And I am sure you are basing your assertion's of those two dysfunctional relationship on the killer's words because, well, the old lady is not longer here to tell her side of the story, isn't she?

Sounds about right.

Bernie's new trial is still ongoing. Today is day 5.

Part of the news article :

The defense is focusing not on the shooting, but Tiede's mental state when the shooting occurred.

Tiede's attorneys told the court that their client had a psychotic break and suffered from abuse as a child. The state is trying to win some points by showing the jury how the shooting happened. Forensic examiners testified that at least one of the four shots that killed Nugent was at close range with the gun touching or almost touching her body.

The trial resumes Tuesday (4/12).
