...the snake... That realy did it for me... I mean what the frak was that about??? Who tests a snake machine ON A SNOW PLANET? I mean, you'd go with wolfs, polar bears, whatever. But snakes? That's like cloning a fish in the Sahara...

It's partially mechanical, so the machine parts could provide it with body heat. A giant snake has a great attack method and plays on natural human phobias. It can hide more easily than a wolf or bear type of creature; be right under an invasion force and spring into action causing panic.
